About Us

Can a journey change the way we see people?

Safar : Walking Into the Heart of Syrian Life

Through culture, connection, history and truth, we show the world not just what happened to Syria but who Syrians truly are.

Syria’s story is not just one of beauty it’s also one of loss, displacement, and endurance.
At Safar, Syrians from all walks of life from different histories, struggles, and places come together to reflect, reconnect, and rebuild.
We don’t shy away from the pain. Instead, we carry it with us as we share the resilience, depth, and heart that still define this country and its people.

Two Syrians. Different backgrounds, different lives.
But united by a shared vision to reconnect, rebuild, and reimagine the future story of Syria.

outside prespective

I carry a vision of a Syria I never had the chance to fully see a homeland shaped in my imagination by stories, photos, and memories passed down, interrupted by war before I could walk its streets myself. Through Safar, I’ve found a way to reconnect with that unseen country and to let the voices of those still living inside it be heard far beyond its borders. I’m a firm believer in the resilience of the Syrian people not as a slogan, but as a truth I witness in every conversation, every act of survival, every dream still being chased. With every article I write, I aim to share their stories as they are: raw, painful, and powerful showing not only the heavy cost of war, but the quiet strength behind their plans to rebuild what was lost.

Inside prespective

I was born and raised in Syria my childhood memories, my first dreams, even the love of my life are all rooted in its soil. When the war came, I had no choice but to leave. I built a life elsewhere, started a family, and carried Syria with me everywhere I went. But outside, I faced a different kind of struggle racism, displacement, the feeling of never fully belonging. Still, I held onto what many called an unrealistic dream: a free Syria. When that dream began to flicker back to life, I rushed home, heart racing only to find the same streets I once knew, now broken, quiet, and tired. My joy turned into something sharper, more grounded: a responsibility. Today, I stay to tell the story of what Syria has become, and what it still can be not just through the ruins, but through the people who dream, rebuild, and keep moving forward, even when they’re exhausted. This is our present and we still believe in a future.

We come together with one purpose: to tell our people’s story, our way and build what’s next.
